About

Her courage and her conscience allowed Anna Bertha Königsegg to act while others looked away: Despite the risk of being arrested and put into a concentration camp, this member of the Daughters of Charity (Vinzentiner) stood up for people who had no place in the Third Reich. In Action “T4”, the National Socialists systematically murdered people with physical and mental handicaps starting in 1940. When the henchmen of the Salzburg regional administration wanted to clear out the homes of her religious order and murder the ones in their care, she opposed it resolutely. The television documentary “Anna Bertha’s Courage” creates a memorial to this almost forgotten figure of the resistance, examines the person of Anna Bertha Königsegg, and leaves a legacy today: Mindset!

The power of evil lives on the cowardice of good
(Quote from Anna Bertha Königsegg)
